Lotus Menezes-Robson is a Tanzanian of Goan descent, born and bred in Dar es Salaam. She has established herself in the city as a driven woman with talents in the arts. An avid salsa dancer and teacher, Lotus paints with the passion of the music she dances to, while engaging herself in the Law she practices as her profession. On her first exhibition in 2011 at Makutano in Dar es Salaam, her three paintings “Salsa in Dar”, “Zanzibar Monsoon” and “Coco Beach” acquired great interest, and making them wanted commodities. She followed up with a second exhibition of seascape paintings in 2012.

Lotus obtained her Law degree from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and is a qualified Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, having practiced law for over six years. On October 22, 2012 Lotus tied the knot to her devoted husband Tom Robson. The following June the newlyweds traveled the world for 18 months as part of their great adventure.
